Data Center Facilities Engineer-Bangkok, Thailand

We are looking for a Data Center Facilities Engineer to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mission-critical infrastructure across assigned data center sites. This role is responsible for on-site facilities operations, incident and change management, maintenance oversight, technical support, and continuous improvement of critical systems.

You will work closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure operational excellence, risk control, and high availability across data center facilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe, stable, and compliant operation of critical facilities systems, including electrical, mechanical, cooling, fire protection, and monitoring systems.
• Lead on-site response to facilities incidents and safety events, including escalation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and closure.
• Oversee the execution of planned changes, preventive maintenance, and routine inspections, ensuring quality, compliance, and documentation traceability.
• Monitor key operating metrics such as capacity, energy efficiency, and system reliability, and drive improvement opportunities across assigned sites.
• Provide technical support for complex site issues and contribute to engineering reviews, equipment selection, upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors, colo, and cross-functional teams to support smooth site operations and continuous improvement.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Facilities Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in data center facilities, mission-critical environments, telecom infrastructure, industrial operations, or large-scale commercial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure systems such as power distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC/cooling, fire protection, and BMS/EPMS/DCIM platforms.
• Proven ability to manage incidents, planned works, maintenance activities, and operational risks in a high-availability environment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is preferred, with proficiency in Chinese considered a strong advantage.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center environments.
• Familiarity with MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, permit-to-work processes, and operational risk controls.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and on-site operation teams.
• Relevant professional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, facilities, or data center operations.
