Key Responsibilities:
•Fulfill the tasks of the Data Protection Officer as defined by the PDPA
•Ensure and maintain compliance with the data protection laws including conducting the data assessments and the Record of Processing Activities
•Provide legal consultation and opinions regarding privacy and personal data protection
•Review and update the privacy policy from time to time
•Create an awareness of privacy and personal data protection as well as provide training to our employee
•Serve as the primary point of contact for data protection inquiries from stakeholders and regulatory authorities
•Collaborate with other teams to ensure the security and integrity of personal data
•Keep up to date with changes in data protection laws and regulations
Qualifitions:
•7+ years experience working in legal practice, preferably at top-tiered law firms with experience in compliance
•Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) or related fields from a recognized university
•A Master's degree from overseas is an advantage
•Ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively together with maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and credibility
•Have a good understanding of privacy laws, especially EU General Data Protection Regulation
•Procession of relevant certifications in data protection is an advantage
•High proficiency in English communication
