Department Manager Safety, Health & Work Environment Compliance

Key Responsibility:

• Legal Universe Development, To develop and maintain a comprehensive SHE Legal Universe covering all applicable regulatory requirements relevant to the business.
• Regulatory Monitoring, To monitor regulatory changes, assess business impact, and define required implementation actions.
• Compliance Assessment & Gap Analysis. To Conduct compliance assessments, perform gap analysis, and classify risk levels.
• Ownership & Corrective Tracking. To assign responsible owners and monitor corrective action progress within defined timelines.
• Assurance Integration. To Integrate assurance and audit findings to validate implementation and analyze overall compliance risk exposure.
• Compliance Dashboard Development. To develop and enhance compliance dashboards in collaboration with IT to provide structured compliance visibility.
• Escalation & Management Reporting. To prepare reports and escalate high-risk compliance issues to management within defined timelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Law, or related fields.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in SHE compliance, regulatory governance, or internal control systems. Safety officer in Professional Certifications are required
• Strong knowledge of SHE regulations relevant to retail and distribution operations
• Strong analytical and governance mindset
• Ability to collaborate with IT, Legal, and operational teams
• Capable of preparing executive-level reports
