Job Summary:
Digital Operations Director is responsible for the reliable, secure, and compliant operation of our IT ecosystem, covering infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, IT audit, helpdesk, and enterprise application support (SAP, Salesforce, Low-Code, Data Platforms, AI, and other systems). In the pharmaceutical context, this includes ensuring validation, compliance, and audit-readiness for systems critical to manufacturing and regulated operations. This role is both strategic and hands-on. You will coach and develop your team (Support, Infrastructure, Security), and when issues arise that the team cannot resolve alone, you will step in directly to provide hands-on support and ensure stability and resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and directly contribute to daily IT operations across infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
- Ensure validated and compliant operation of pharma-critical systems (electronic batch records, document control, etc.).
- Actively coach and uplift Support, Infrastructure, and Security staff, building stronger skills and discipline.
- Take ownership of outcomes: provide hands-on support when needed to overcome operational issues.
- Oversee IT audit, compliance, and governance to maintain readiness for regulatory inspections.
- Manage helpdesk teams to ensure quality end-user experience and timely issue resolution.
- Partner with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure delivery.
- Drive automation, process improvements, and resilience in IT service delivery.
Job Specification:
- Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and enterprise application support.
- Experience managing IT audit, compliance, and validation in regulated industries, preferably pharma.
- Proven ability to coach and develop IT staff across multiple disciplines.
- Track record of instilling discipline, reliability, and compliance in IT operations.
- Hands-on ability to step in and support the team in resolving complex technical issues when required.
- Skilled in stakeholder and vendor management.
- Fluent in English, with excellent presentation and communication skills.
