MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING DIRECTOR
Bang Lamung, Chon Buri
- Lead the Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, and Industrial Engineering teams across multiple product platforms.
- Take overall responsibility for the performance and effectiveness of the ME, PE, and IE functions.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Manufacturing Engineering strategy and roadmap aligned with global and local business objectives.
- Drive manufacturing technology initiatives, including SMT process deployment, assembly automation, manufacturing equipment management, and fixture/jig development.
- Build, recruit, train, and develop a strong local technical engineering organization over the next two years.
- Provide strong Manufacturing Engineering support for New Product Introduction (NPI), including early involvement in product development and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Participate actively in the new plant setup project, ensuring project milestones are achieved on time, within budget, and in line with customer requirements.
- Lead engineering support for plant operations, including order fulfillment, on-time delivery, quality improvement, cost control, capacity planning, and workplace safety.
- Establish and monitor Engineering KPIs aligned with global business objectives.
- Review manufacturing capacity and technical capability proactively to support future business growth.
- Drive productivity and efficiency improvements through automation, TAKT time balancing, line balancing, process optimization, and mistake-proofing (poka-yoke).
- Standardize and document manufacturing and assembly processes, including process parameters, to minimize dependency on individual knowledge and improve knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks.
- Partner with Quality teams to improve First Pass Yield (FPY), reduce overall failure rates and scrap, and support Total Quality Management (TQM) initiatives.
- Collaborate with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering teams to evaluate and deploy new manufacturing technologies.
- Partner with Operational Excellence teams to implement Lean Manufacturing and Best-in-Class manufacturing practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Automation, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 15 years of manufacturing engineering experience within the electronics or high-tech manufacturing industry.
- Strong experience in new plant setup, manufacturing ramp-up, NPI, and production transfer.
- Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing, SMT, assembly processes, automation, and manufacturing equipment.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
