The Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) is responsible for leading the Sales & Marketing team to drive revenue, market share, and brand awareness for Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales & marketing plans, fostering strong relationships with key clients, and ensuring the resort achieves its revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:Sales & Business Development:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue across all market segments (leisure, corporate, MICE, wholesale, etc.).
  • Identify new business opportunities and establish relationships with key accounts, travel agents, and corporate clients.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve targets and exceed expectations.

Marketing & Branding:

  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, and PR initiatives.
  • Work closely with Hyatt corporate marketing teams to ensure brand standards and marketing initiatives align with global strategies.
  • Manage relationships with external marketing agencies, media partners, and influencers.
  • Analyze marketing campaign performance and adjust strategies accordingly.

Revenue & Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to optimize pricing, promotions, and distribution channels.
  • Drive direct bookings through effective digital marketing and brand website optimization.
  • Ensure strong collaboration between Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to enhance guest experience and drive loyalty.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor the Sales & Marketing team to enhance performance and professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance within the department.
  • Set clear goals and KPIs for the team and monitor progress regularly.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in hotel sales & marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of the Phuket market and key business drivers.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and increasing market share.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with digital marketing, social media, and e-commerce strategies.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
