We are looking for a strong commercial leader to drive our Enterprise Acquiring business in Thailand. This role will lead a team of Business Development managers to win new business, deepen strategic merchant relationships, and shape industry-specific payment solutions across priority sectors such as e-commerce, insurance, retail, and other high-potential enterprise verticals.
In addition to leading business development, this role will also oversee the Sales Operations function supporting the enterprise business, ensuring scalable processes, strong execution discipline, and high-quality commercial delivery from opportunity development through post-launch account growth.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who combines commercial drive, people leadership, customer-centric solutioning, and operating rigor to build a stronger and more scalable enterprise acquiring business in Thailand.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development and Commercial Growth
- Lead the Thailand Enterprise Acquiring business to deliver sustainable growth across Revenue, Net Revenue, and TPV
- Hunt and close new enterprise deals in targeted sectors including e-commerce, insurance, retail, and other relevant verticals
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through market mapping, relationship development, and lead generation
- Develop clear account strategies for strategic prospects and key merchants
- Lead complex commercial negotiations and structure win-win solutions for enterprise clients
Existing Merchant Growth and Account Development
- Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the existing merchant portfolio
- Deepen merchant relationships by introducing broader payment and ecosystem solutions
- Serve as a senior commercial partner to strategic merchants, including direct engagement with C-level stakeholders
- Improve merchant retention, account responsiveness, and long-term commercial value
Sales Operations Leadership
- Lead the Sales Operations team supporting the enterprise business
- Establish, standardize, and continuously improve the end-to-end sales process, including process governance, SOPs, SLAs, and commercial handoff discipline
- Strengthen execution visibility, operating rigor, and service consistency across the commercial journey, from opportunity development through post-launch support
- Drive strong cross-functional collaboration across business, product, operations, finance, legal, risk, and technology teams
Industry Solution Development
- Identify sector-specific customer needs, pain points, and payment opportunities in focus industries
- Partner with product and internal stakeholders to shape industry-tailored acquiring and payment solutions
- Translate merchant needs into practical commercial offerings and solution strategies
- Strengthen the company's positioning as a trusted enterprise payment partner in targeted sectors
Team Leadership and Capability Building
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Business Development managers
- Set clear goals, operating cadence, and performance expectations for the team
- Build strong commercial discipline in pipeline management, opportunity conversion, and account development
Requirements
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in enterprise sales, business development, commercial leadership, or account management, ideally within payments, fintech, financial services, or adjacent industries
- Strong understanding of the enterprise payments landscape, with the ability to connect merchant needs, acquiring capabilities, and solution value into compelling client propositions
- Good grasp of the broader financial and commerce ecosystem surrounding payments, and the ability to identify adjacent opportunities that strengthen merchant value propositions and deepen strategic relationships
- Demonstrated success in building commercial momentum in the Thailand market, with the ability to originate opportunities, navigate complex organizations, and convert enterprise relationships into business outcomes
- Relevant exposure to sectors such as e-commerce, insurance, retail, or other enterprise verticals is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to engage, influence, and negotiate effectively with senior client stakeholders, including C-level executives
- Strong leadership track record, with experience leading teams, raising performance standards, and delivering results through others rather than as a standalone individual contributor
- Ability to bring together commercial strategy and execution discipline, including sales process design, cross-functional coordination, and operational follow-through
- Excellent commercial judgment, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Fluent in business English and Thai; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
- Flexible for travel and responsive outside normal office hours when required by clients or business needs
