Economist (Macro Analytics)

Job Summary

The Macro & Financial Market Economist is a key member of the Macro and Financial

Analytics team under ttb Analytics. The role focuses on macroeconomics, the banking

sector, and financial markets, delivering precise and relevant analysis and

recommendations to support ttb's strategic and management decisions. The position also

contributes to strategic research, internal knowledge sharing, and external communication

through publications and media engagement.

Job Description

• Forecast and analyze macroeconomic, banking sector, and financial market

conditions relevant to the bank's operations

• Assess and quantify the impact of economic and financial conditions on the bank's

assets, liabilities, risks, interest rates, and the banking industry, particularly through

Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) processes

• Conduct strategic research aligned with the bank's corporate direction and strategic

initiatives

• Collaborate with various business units across the bank to support decision-making

and strategic planning

• Share analytical outputs with internal stakeholders and clients on non-confidential

information

• Produce economic commentaries, insights, and reports, and participate in media

and PR activities related to economic, banking, and financial market issues

Job Qualification

• Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, or related fields
• At least 3 years of experience in a research house or related field is preferred Skills
• Excellent analytical skills with strong statistical capabilities
• Good computer skills, especially in presentation, data management, and statistical

software

• Good command of English (Written and reading)
• Strong analytical knowledge in economics and/or finance
• Knowledge of economic and financial forecasting techniques
• Advanced econometrics, statistical, and financial analytical skills are an advantage
• Understanding of business strategy and economic issues
