Elementary School Teacher

Salary: THB 20,000–28,000/month (Based on experience and capability.)

We are looking for more than someone who teaches from a textbook. We are looking for a Core Teacher who can guide a small learning community, help children grow, and make sure learning is purposeful and well organised.

What you will do

• Be responsible for a small group of 12–16 children, similar to a homeroom teacher.
• Identify what each child needs support with and provide targeted teaching.
• Plan learning experiences aligned with curriculum learning indicators.
• Coordinate and monitor lessons taught by other teachers working with your group, ensuring they meet our learning standards.
• Help children plan and carry out their own projects, while supporting them to follow through on their responsibilities.
• Track progress, deadlines, and next steps, both for your own work and the children's work.

At Carroll Prep, children learn in a way that resembles a small company: alongside their regular learning, each child may have an individual responsibility or project to move forward. The Core Teacher helps them learn how to plan, communicate, take ownership, solve problems, and complete work—not simply receive instructions.

Who we are looking for

• A degree in Education is not required, but you must have experience working with children or in a teaching-related role.
• You have independently led projects from beginning to end—planning, coordinating people, managing details, and overcoming challenges.
• You have strong time-management and organisation skills, and can manage a meaningful level of responsibility.
• You can model persistence, responsibility, and follow-through for children.
• You are comfortable giving direction, coordinating others, and following up on work with care and clarity.
• You enjoy communicating and working closely with people. We teach as a team, so collaboration is essential.
• You can listen and speak English confidently.
• You are adaptable and open to change.

This role may not be the right fit if you prefer doing the same routine every day, dislike change, or prefer working with minimal communication. Carroll Prep is not a school where teachers only follow a textbook—we design learning experiences, lead projects, and grow together.
