Job Description
Role Overview
- Key member of the executive leadership team responsible for overall operational performance, financial health, and organizational effectiveness
- Partner closely with the Executive Director to translate strategy into execution
- Own both project operations and all back-office functions to ensure efficiency, governance, and scalable growth
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across architecture, interior design, and support teams
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficient workflows and consistent project delivery
- Develop and implement operational policies, systems, and SOPs
- Drive a culture of accountability, execution, and continuous improvement
2. Back Office & Corporate Functions Management
- Oversee and integrate all back-office functions including
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- Finance
- Business Development
- Marketing
- Ensure back-office functions effectively support business and project teams
- Establish governance structures, reporting lines, and performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations
3. Strategy Execution
- Translate strategic objectives into clear operational plans
- Track execution progress and key performance indicators
- Identify risks, gaps, and operational bottlenecks and take corrective action
- Continuously refine the operating model to support growth
4. Financial & Commercial Management
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial performance
- Track project costs, utilization, and margins
- Review and approve project invoices and expenses
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability and cost efficiency
5. Client Experience & Delivery
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction across all projects
- Establish clear client communication and escalation processes
- Anticipate client needs and proactively address issues
6. People Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop senior managers and team leaders
- Set performance expectations and accountability frameworks
- Conduct performance reviews and succession planning
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
7. Business Development Support
- Provide operational and commercial input to new business opportunities
- Participate in key client meetings, pitches, and presentations
- Review and validate project scope, fees, timelines, and resourcing
8. Quality Management
- Ensure all deliverables meet company quality standards and client expectations
- Implement and maintain quality control processes
- Conduct regular project and operational reviews
9. Technology, AI & Innovation
- Stay informed on AI and digital tools relevant to operations and design workflows
- Drive adoption of technology to improve efficiency and decision-making
- Guide teams on practical and responsible use of AI tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Business Administration, or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of progressive operations experience
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role within architecture, interior design, or professional services
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of project-based professional services businesses
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary organizations
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Confident, decisive leadership and communication skills
- Comfortable with technology, data, and AI-enabled workflows
- Thai nationals with strong working proficiency in English
