Job Description
Job Title: Factory Financial Controlling
Department: Finance

Role Overview
The Factory Financial Controller is responsible for leading all financial controlling activities within manufacturing operations. This role acts as a key business partner to plant and operations leadership, ensuring strong financial governance, cost control, and performance visibility across production, inventory, supply chain as well as SG&
AThe role focuses on financial planning, costing governance, consolidated management reporting, and operational performance analysis to support decision-making, improve efficiency, and drive sustainable business growth
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for manufacturing operations
- Own and manage the full P&L for manufacturing operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business performance
- Consolidate revenue inputs provided by Sales and integrate with cost structures to deliver a complete financial view
- Monitor plant P&L and key performance indicators, providing insights and actions to improve performance
- Support monthly and quarterly business reviews with clear financial analysis and commentary
2. Costing & Manufacturing Finance
- Oversee and review standard costing processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial policies
- Review and validate cost variance analysis (material, labor, overhead), ensuring key drivers are clearly understood
- Provide guidance and challenge the costing team to improve cost accuracy and transparency
- Ensure governance over product costing, BOM, routing, and standard cost updates
- Control and monitor cost-saving initiatives to enhance competitiveness
- Provide financial guidance and challenge to ensure cost-saving actions are effective and sustainable
- Analyze overall manufacturing cost performance and identify improvement opportunities
3. Inventory & Financial Control
- Ensure proper financial control over inventory, including stock accuracy, cycle count processes, and valuation
- Support provisioning, stock adjustment, and incident assessment (e.g. damage, obsolescence)
- Partner with operations and supply chain to strengthen internal controls and reduce financial risks
4. Reporting & Analysis
- Develop and enhance consolidated financial and management reports for manufacturing operations
- Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting packages with key business insights
- Provide high-quality variance analysis with actionable recommendations
- Standardize and continuously improve reporting formats, tools, and dashboards
5. Business Partnering & Strategic Support
- Act as a finance business partner to plant leadership, supporting operational and strategic decisions
- Evaluate investment projects, cost-saving initiatives, and operational improvements (ROI, feasibility)
- Support S&OP process from financial perspective (scenario analysis, cost impact, capacity alignment
6. Process Improvement & Governance
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting within manufacturing
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and audit requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8–10 years in manufacturing finance or controlling
- Minimum 3 years in leadership role
- Experience in SAP, Excel, reporting tools
- BI or automation is a plus
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Fluent in English
