Report directly to the CEO, take full ownership of Finance & Accounting at an established life insurer in Thailand, and shape how the function runs for years to come.

We are partnering with a life insurance company backed by an international shareholder group to appoint its most senior finance leader. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will run the numbers, lead the team and modernise how finance works, with direct access to the CEO, the Chairman and the shareholders..

Ideal Candidate:

• Life insurance finance leaders: You've worked in finance or accounting at a life insurer, now or earlier in your career, and you're ready to own the whole function rather than one part of it.
• Big 4 insurance audit professionals: You've built a strong portfolio of life insurance audit clients and want to move in-house into a seat with real authority. You already know the business from the outside; this is your chance to run it from the inside.

What You'll Own:

• The numbers: Month-end and year-end close, financial statements and management reporting, with final review and sign-off.
• Compliance: OIC regulatory reporting, TFRS, tax, internal controls, and the relationship with the external auditors.
• Planning: Budgets, forecasts and performance analysis, including capital adequacy monitoring and financial advice to the CEO.
• Transformation: Revamp the finance systems and processes, and bring in automation where it makes a real difference.
• The team: Lead and develop a team of 17, solve operational issues directly, and raise the standard across the function.
• Stakeholders: Present to the CEO, the Chairman and the shareholders in English, and bridge the local team and international leadership.

What You'll Bring:

• A strong accounting foundation. A Thai CPA, ACCA or equivalent is an advantage.
• More than 10 years in finance, accounting or audit, with substantial life insurance experience either in-house or through audit clients.
• A solid understanding of life insurance accounting: premiums, commissions, reserves, investments and OIC reporting.
• TFRS 17 / IFRS 17 experience is highly regarded.
• A track record in process improvement, systems or automation.
• People leadership. You build teams, raise standards and stay calm under pressure.
• Fluent Thai and strong business English, confident enough to present at board level.
