Finance Executive

Our client is a well established shipping brand. Currently, they are seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join them as Finance Executive (Liner Shipping).

In this role, you will be responsible for the following :

• Handling day-to-day accounting operations of the organisation which include preparing and maintaining financial records, managing invoices and ensuring the accuracy of financial data
• Working closely with other members of the finance team to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations
• Accounts Payable & Receivable
• General Ledger Maintenance
• Cash flow management
• Banking relationship management
• Agency Statement of Account
• Staff expense claims
• Financial reporting
• Tax compliance
• Internal controls and audit support
• Financial data accuracy
• Vendor management
• Financial systems & software

Requirements:

• Diploma/ Bachelors Degreein Accounting, Finance or related field
• Ideally 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the shipping industry
• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on AP, AR and GL management
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and tax regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial reporting tools
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
• Problem solving skills and good ability to work in a fast paced environment
