Job Description
Stryv (pronounced Strive) is one of the fastest-growing consumer brands in Southeast Asia. We've received multiple platform awards from major retailers such as Shopee, Watsons, Guardian, and 7-Eleven. Founded by former Grab executives who helped build Grab Financial Group, Stryv is committed to making personal care accessible and aspirational.
Our Vision
We aim to become the Uniqlo of Personal Care—offering well-designed, high-quality personal care electronics like hairdryers, shavers, and electric toothbrushes. Our products are built in tier-1 global factories that manufacture for some of the world's biggest brands. By selling directly to consumers at accessible prices, we ensure that personal care is inclusive across all income levels.
Backed by Leading Investors
We're proud to be backed by billion-dollar venture capital funds including East Ventures and GSR. Our supporters also include founders and leaders from some of the region's most iconic brands: Razer, Carousell, ShopBack, Carro, PRISM+, Grab, Atome, and many more.
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to join our growing Finance team.
As the Group continues to scale across multiple markets, brands and channels, we are looking for someone who can strengthen the fundamentals of our finance function — particularly around monthly closing, financial reporting, consolidation, audit readiness, controls, cash flow and management reporting.
This is not a role where you will only review work prepared by others. We are looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the details, solving problems, improving processes and working closely with both the Finance team and business stakeholders.
The role will have exposure across Singapore and our regional operations and will work closely with the CFO and Financial Controller.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Monthly Close
- Own and drive timely monthly closing across the Group.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure key accounts are properly supported.
- Investigate unusual movements and ensure accounting issues are resolved before closing.
- Improve the accuracy, quality and speed of monthly reporting.
2. Group Consolidation
- Support the consolidation of the Group's entities across Singapore and overseas markets.
- Ensure appropriate treatment of intercompany transactions and eliminations.
- Work through inventory, FX and other consolidation adjustments.
- Maintain accurate group-level reporting schedules.
3. Audit, Compliance & Controls
- Coordinate with external auditors and support the annual audit process.
- Prepare audit schedules and ensure queries are resolved promptly.
- Strengthen accounting SOPs, approval processes and internal controls.
- Ensure proper documentation and accounting treatment across the Group.
- Support tax, statutory and regulatory requirements together with external advisers where necessary.
4. Management Reporting & FP&A
- Prepare monthly variance analysis versus budget, forecast and prior periods.
- Help management understand the key drivers behind revenue, gross margin and operating expenses.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Develop useful management reporting by market, channel and product where appropriate.
- Translate financial results into actionable insights for business teams.
5. Cash Flow & Working Capital
- Support preparation and maintenance of the 13-week cash flow forecast.
- Monitor receivables, payables, inventory and other working-capital drivers.
- Work with business PICs to improve visibility over expected cash inflows and payments.
- Identify potential cash-flow risks early and escalate them to management.
6. Finance Operations
- Review AP, AR, bank reconciliations and other finance operations where required.
- Ensure transactions are correctly recorded and supported.
- Work closely with the shared-services / accounting team to resolve outstanding issues.
- Help continuously improve finance workflows and reduce manual processes.
7. Systems & Process Improvement
- Help strengthen the use of NetSuite and other finance systems.
- Identify opportunities to automate reconciliations, reporting and recurring finance processes.
- Build scalable processes as EVO continues to grow.
- Support finance integration for new businesses or acquisitions where required.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA / CPA / ACCA preferred.
- 6–10 years of overall finance and accounting experience.
- Ideally 2–3 years of external audit experience, preferably from a Big 4 or established audit firm.
- Experience working across both:
- SMEs / fast-growing entrepreneurial businesses, where candidates are expected to be hands-on, resourceful and comfortable building processes; and
- MNC environments, where they have been exposed to stronger financial controls, reporting discipline and structured finance processes.
- Strong experience in monthly closing, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and group consolidation.
- Experience managing multiple entities and/or regional operations would be highly advantageous.
- Good understanding of inventory accounting, intercompany transactions and consolidation adjustments, particularly within retail, e-commerce or consumer businesses.
- Experience supporting external audits and working directly with auditors.
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and management reporting.
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems would be advantageous.
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets capabilities.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where processes are still evolving.
- Able to be hands-on when required while also reviewing and guiding more junior Finance team members.
- Strong attention to detail, but commercially minded enough to understand and explain what the numbers mean.
