Own an entire finance function from day one. GymNation — a fast-growing UAE fitness group — is launching in Thailand, and we're hiring the founding Finance Manager to build the Thai entity's finance from an empty set of books.

GymNation is a UAE-headquartered fitness group and one of the region's fastest-growing operators of large-format, accessible gyms. Founded in 2017, we run 36 clubs across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, built on high-quality facilities at an affordable price and a strong, community-driven member experience. We're now entering our next phase of growth with our first expansion into Southeast Asia — and GymNation Thailand will be the group's inaugural Thai entity. GymNation operates to international governance and reporting standards, so financial discipline, clean books and audit-readiness are core to how the group runs.
The opportunity
This is a ground-floor, sole-owner role. You'll set up the books, banking, tax compliance and controls from scratch and shape how finance runs as we scale — reporting directly to the SEA CFO. As GymNation grows across Southeast Asia, this seat is designed to grow into a regional finance role with a team beneath you. GymNation operates to international governance and reporting standards, so clean books and audit-readiness are core to how we run.
What you'll own — hands-on, in-house
What you'll manage — not do yourself
You'll select and manage the external partners who handle statutory filings, audit and transfer pricing. You own the numbers; they execute the submissions.
Who this is for
A hands-on builder who wants to own a function — not a manager who needs a team to be effective. Someone who takes pride in clean books and will personally do the reconciliations, the payroll run and the filing data. For the first stretch, you ARE the finance team.
Who this is NOT for (please read before applying)
If you need staff beneath you to be effective, if you haven't personally prepared Thai VAT / WHT / CIT, or you're looking for a step down to coast in — this isn't the role. The first six months are hands-on and solo.
