Job Description

ABOUT LENSKART

Lenskart is one of the world's largest vision-care platforms — a technology-driven eyewear company designing, manufacturing, and retailing prescription glasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses across India and international markets. Publicly listed and scaling fast, Lenskart pairs an owned manufacturing backbone with a rapidly growing omnichannel retail footprint across Asia, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

As part of its Southeast Asia expansion, Lenskart has entered a 50:50 joint venture with Matt Optical to form Marco Optical (Thailand) Co., Ltd. — Sunrise Thailand — a manufacturing and trading business for lenses, frames, and optical products. This role sits at the heart of that JV, working directly with Lenskart's Group Finance team on one of the company's most strategic international bets.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a bilingual (Thai/English) finance leader to own financial operations for the Thailand joint venture end-to-end — from day-to-day accounting and Thai statutory compliance, to acting as the critical bridge between the local business and Lenskart's Group Reporting, Tax, Supply Chain, and Merchandising teams. You'll be the primary finance voice for the JV with Thai regulatory authorities and the group audit team — a high-visibility seat for someone who wants ownership, not just execution.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Group Reporting & Audit — Own consolidated financial reporting for the JV, aligning closely with Lenskart's Group Reporting team on numbers, timelines, and disclosures for a listed entity. Respond promptly and accurately to group audit instructions and queries.
  • Team & Stakeholder Leadership — Lead the local accounting team and external consultants on Thai statutory and tax compliance; partner with Supply Chain on procurement costs and inventory accounting, and with Merchandising on product costing and margin analysis.
  • Financial Operations — Manage financial statements, budgeting, cash flow, and internal controls for the JV day-to-day, in line with Thai GAAP.
  • Government & Regulatory Relations — Serve as the primary liaison with the Thai Revenue Department, Ministry of Labor, Customs, and the Social Security Office, ensuring every filing and regulatory touchpoint is handled on time.
  • Cross-Border Communication — Communicate fluently in both Thai and English across internal stakeholders, external authorities, audit teams, and group leadership — translating complex financial concepts clearly for every audience.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience — 6–8 years in accounting/finance in Thailand, ideally with exposure to listed companies or multinational, group-reporting environments.
  • Education — Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Thai CPA or equivalent certification is a strong plus.
  • Languages — Native/near-native Thai and fluent English (written and spoken) — equally comfortable in a boardroom and a tax office.
  • Technical — Strong Excel skills, hands-on ERP experience (SAP preferred), and solid command of Thai tax and accounting standards; familiarity with consolidated/group reporting is valued.
  • Leadership & Mindset — A leader who's comfortable coordinating across functions and geographies, managing multiple stakeholders, and staying sharp on the details during audit season.

GOOD TO HAVE

  • Prior experience in a listed-company finance function
  • Working knowledge of IFRS
  • Familiarity with Thai VAT, corporate tax, and customs regulations
  • Track record of responding directly to group/parent-company audit requirements
  • Hands-on ERP system implementation or migration experience

WHY JOIN LENSKART

  • Be part of a listed, fast-scaling global eyewear company at a pivotal moment in its Southeast Asia growth story.
  • Own a high-visibility mandate with a direct line to Group Finance leadership — not a back-office reporting role.
  • Work at the intersection of finance, supply chain, and government relations, with real influence over how the JV is built.

Join a culture that moves fast, values ownership over hierarchy, and invests in people who want to grow with the business.
