Job Description:
- Develop and maintain relationships with airlines and General Sales Agents (GSAs) operating in the region. Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day operational and commercial matters.
- Lead and negotiate air freight rates with airlines, GASs and their partners.
- Continuously monitor and analyze air freight market trends, carrier performance, and competitor activities. Provide regular market updates and insights to the regional team.
- Provide timely and competitive air freight pricing for tenders (RFQs) and ad-hoc requests from the sales and regional pricing teams.
- Participate customers call and meetings
- Support the development of Thailand airfreight business
- Problem solving with all operational issues
- Manage customer service and operations team in Thailand, ensuring smooth day-to-day execution, service quality, and compliance with company SOPs. ·
- Lead, coach and support team members, taking a hands-on role in both commercial and operational matters due to the lean team structure.
Knowledge / Skills Required:
- University or above graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 - 10 years of direct experience in air freight procurement, airline management, or a related commercial role within the freight forwarding industry.
- Deep knowledge of air freight products, major trade lanes, IATA regulations, and the competitive landscape of airlines and GSAs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Business fluency speaking and writing in English is mandatory.
- Experience taking on both managerial and hands-on operational responsibilities in a lean team environment.
