Job Description

Company Description

Noise43 Gallery is a street gallery created by artists for artists, with a mission to amplify emerging and underrepresented voices in the alternative art scene. The gallery aims to build a vibrant institutional presence that supports experimental practices and highlights diverse, often overlooked narratives.

Noise43 focuses on micro-truths that reflect the cultural zeitgeist, encouraging work that is socially aware and conceptually bold. As part of a broader creative ecosystem, the gallery embraces art that challenges norms, sparks dialogue, and imagines communities coexisting in harmony through aesthetics and shared beliefs.

Role Description

The Gallery Manager internship is a hybrid role based in Bangkok, with a combination of on-site and work-from-home responsibilities. The intern will support day-to-day gallery operations, including coordinating exhibitions, assisting with installation and deinstallation, and maintaining a welcoming environment for artists, visitors, and collaborators. Responsibilities include managing visitor inquiries, supporting event planning and promotion, updating digital and physical records of artworks, and assisting with social media and basic marketing activities. The Gallery Manager intern will also help with artist communication, scheduling, and logistics, ensuring smooth execution of programs that reflect the gallery's experimental and community-oriented ethos.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in contemporary and alternative art, with the ability to engage thoughtfully with experimental and socially driven practices.
  • Organizational and administrative skills, including scheduling, record keeping, and basic project coordination.
  • Communication skills for interacting with artists, visitors, and partners, in both in-person and online settings.
  • Comfort with basic digital tools (email, calendars, spreadsheets) and social media platforms for gallery updates and promotion.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site duties in Bangkok with remote tasks.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to handle practical tasks such as installation support and space maintenance.
  • Prior experience in galleries, museums, events, or cultural organizations is an advantage but not required.
  • Availability to work flexible hours aligned with exhibitions and events; proficiency in English, and knowledge of Thai is a plus.
