General Manager Sports Complex (Indoor & Outdoor)

Job brief

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee a large-scale indoor and outdoor Sports Complex. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, and business growth across the sports and recreation business unit.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the overall operations of the Sports Complex and its event/recreation programs (both indoor and outdoor), along with related business units, to ensure smooth execution and operational excellence.
• Develop annual budgets, manage expenses, approve purchasing, and ensure financial performance aligns with company targets.
• Manage and maximize EBITDA in line with corporate policies.
• Plan and execute events, recreation programs, promotions, marketing activities, and revenue-generating initiatives in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Monitor business performance, analyze financial results, and provide regular operational reports to top management.
• Lead and support managers and staff, develop team capabilities, and ensure effective workforce planning.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and operational alignment.
• Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction, service quality, and facility readiness across all business units.
• Identify and acquire new business partners to enhance corporate capabilities and drive new growth opportunities.
• Lead additional assigned projects, ensuring timely completion, performance tracking, and alignment with corporate goals.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience managing a Sports Complex, both indoor and outdoor, is preferred.
• Strong understanding of sports business operations and recreational management, with at least 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Excellent leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage financial reports, EBITDA, and performance evaluations effectively.
• High sense of responsibility, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with both internal and external departments.
