Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Go-based microservices that support financial transactions and business workflows.
- Build and enhance event-driven applications using Kafka and other messaging technologies.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend services.
- Support the development and maintenance of real-time data pipelines and integrations.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to database development, data modelling, and query optimization using Oracle and Snowflake.
- Participate in cloud-based application deployment and infrastructure automation using AWS and Terraform.
- Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Follow engineering best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines to ensure reliable and maintainable software.
- 4-6 years of experience in software development, preferably in backend or distributed systems development.
- Hands-on experience with Go (Golang) and understanding of microservices architecture.
- Basic to intermediate experience working with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms.
- Build and enhance event-driven applications using Kafka and other messaging technologies.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, backend service development, and software design principles.
- Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases such as Oracle.
- Exposure to Snowflake or other modern data platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and infrastructure concepts.
- Working knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Exposure to financial systems, payment processing, or transaction-based applications.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and distributed systems concepts.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Interest in AI/ML technologies and automation solutions is a plus.
- B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
- Technical certifications preferred (AWS, Linux, Windows, Atlassian, etc)
