Head of Debt Collection

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Debt Collection to lead our end-to-end recovery operations. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in debt recovery strategies, outsourced agency management, and bad debt mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, plan, and oversee comprehensive debt collection strategies to consistently meet and exceed recovery targets.
• Lead and manage the entire collection division, including in-house collectors, outsourced agencies, and field visit teams, ensuring optimal performance.
• Analyze debtor behavior, categorize complex debt profiles, and implement tailored recovery tactics.
• Provide timely, accurate, and strategic reporting on money collection results and related credit functions to the executive team.
• Prepare executive-level summary reports (using advanced Excel and PPT) on debt collection performance, identifying operational issues/obstacles, and proactively proposing strategic solutions.
• Coordinate seamlessly with the Legal Department to initiate and manage litigation processes when necessary.
• Direct all legal actions and overarching debt recovery measures for delinquent customers, including issuing targeted reminder letters to overdue clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a field strictly related to Credit Management or Debt Collection.
• Minimum 6+ years of extensive, direct experience in the Debt Collection field, with a proven track record in a managerial/leadership capacity.
• Strong expertise in Risk Management factor analysis for client credit evaluation and rigorous bad debt control.
• Solid managerial skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and drive results from diverse collection teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written) coupled with strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive under high pressure, manage tight deadlines, and maintain strict attention to detail.
• Immediate availability is highly advantageous.
