Job Description
1. Strategic Financial Management & Planning
- Formulate and execute the company's financial strategy to support sustainable growth and profitability.
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial models.
- Provide high-level financial analysis and actionable insights to the CEO and Board of Directors for strategic decision-making.
2. Treasury & Capital Management (Added Integration)
- Direct corporate treasury activities, including optimal cash flow management, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization.
- Oversee capital structure management, including debt financing, equity issuance, and banking relationships.
- Formulate and enforce treasury policies regarding foreign exchange (FX) risk management, interest rate exposure, and investment portfolios.
- Ensure funding availability for operational needs and strategic investments while maintaining strong credit ratings and covenant compliance.
3. Financial Reporting, Accounting & Controls
- Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/TFRS).
- Establish and maintain robust internal control frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Manage corporate taxation strategies, tax planning, and compliance with all statutory regulations.
4. Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify, assess, and manage financial and operational risks, establishing mitigation strategies across the organization.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with all financial laws, tax authorities, and relevant governing bodies.
5. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and development to the Finance, Accounting, and Treasury teams.
- Manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, investors, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Master's degree, CPA, CPD, or CFA certification is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role (VP of Finance, or Finance Director). Experience in Financial & Banking, Retail or related industries is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (PAEs), taxation, financial analysis, budgeting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
- Experience in IPO preparation, ERP implementation, or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High integrity, attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality, and capability to work well under pressure.
