Job Description

  • Lead and develop the solutions sales team to provide innovative, tailored treasury and investment solutions / derivatives solutions. Provide strategic leadership to a team of 3-5 solutions sales staff, fostering a customer-centric culture.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and capturing new business opportunities across local corporates, MNCs, Japanese clients, and financial institutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their financial needs, risk profile and delivering customized treasury and investment solutions.
  • Enhance SMBC's competitive positioning by delivering sophisticated product expertise and market insights.
  • Act as a key liaison for complex client needs, ensuring alignment with business goals and risk management policies/standard of SMBC.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including RMs, risk, operation team and trading team to deliver integrated, innovative solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategy and client advisory.
  • Manage team performance, coaching, and talent development to build a high-performing sales unit.

Qualification

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in global markets sales, preferably within foreign banks or leading financial institutions.
  • Deep expertise in a wide range of derivatives products such as FX derivatives, IRS, Options and structured products.
  • Strong understanding of Thai financial market and regulatory environment relevant to treasury products.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with a broad client base including large local corporates, MNC, Japanese clients and Financial institutions.
  • Demonstrates leadership skill with experience managing, developing or strong involving high performing sales team.
  • Ability to develop and initiate effective sales strategies aligned with market trends and business goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to advise clients on complex financial solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, business or related field; professional certification such as CFA, Bond trading, IC, FRM, etc. are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English and Thai; Japanese language skills is a plus with excel in communication skill.
