Head of Leasing (Retail)

We are recruiting for a real estate investment firm looking to scale up their portfolio especially in the retail sector.

Reporting to the MD, you will be directing the leasing strategies, tenant mix, and commercial performance for their retail portfolios. You will be managing leasing P&Ls, oversee pre-leasing and renewals, and lead negotiations with regional and international brands to optimize occupancy and rental revenue.

You will oversee full leasing cycle — from strategy development and tenant acquisition to lease execution — while ensuring a strong tenant mix and positive mall positioning. You will lead, mentor, and supervise a team of leasing executives, set clear performance objectives and KPIs for the leasing team. You will provide coaching, training, and support to enhance team effectiveness and professional growth, You will be reviewing team performance, conduct evaluations, and implement improvement plans where necessary. You will coordinate team workload to ensure timely completion of leasing activities and reporting.

You will develop and implement leasing strategies to maximize occupancy and rental Income. This include identifying, sourcing, and securing suitable tenants that align with the mall's positioning and target audience. You will conduct or oversee property tours, presentations, and proposal development for prospective tenants. You will negotiate lease terms, rental rates, and documentation in line with company guidelines. You will monitor market trends, competitor analysis, and tenant movements to adjust strategy when needed.

You will maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing tenants, agents, and key stakeholders as well as managing renewals, relocations, expansions, and terminations to optimize tenant mix. You will support tenants throughout the leasing cycle, ensuring a smooth onboarding and fit-out process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field
• 10–15 years of experience in retail or commercial leasing, with at least 5–8 years in a supervisory or team leadership role
• Creative, resourceful and driven to achieve business objectives
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
