We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Head of Department (HOD) – Retail Marketing to lead nationwide retail marketing initiatives and drive store traffic, in-store sales conversion, brand visibility, and promotional effectiveness across all store formats.
This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the VP Marketing, responsible for shaping retail marketing strategy, leading high-impact campaigns, and strengthening market competitiveness through data-driven decisions.
Key responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute annual retail marketing strategies, promotional calendars, and customer engagement plans.
- Ensure campaigns drive store traffic, sales growth, and strengthen brand positioning.
- Lead team structure, capability development, succession planning, and performance management.
- Manage department budget, cost efficiency, and ROI.
Campaigns & In-Store Marketing
- Lead nationwide campaigns, promotions, and store activations.
- Oversee all in-store communication materials including POSM, POP, signage, and branding touchpoints.
- Work closely with Operations and Merchandising to ensure campaign readiness and execution excellence.
- Guide managers in developing effective, insight-led campaign concepts.
Consumer Insights & Competitor Analysis
- Lead shopper research on customer behavior, footfall drivers, purchase triggers, and conversion barriers.
- Conduct competitor reviews and monitor retail market trends.
- Translate insights into actionable store-level marketing improvements.
Partnerships & Agencies
- Build strategic partnerships with payment partners, malls, FMCG suppliers, and corporate partners.
- Manage agencies across creative, media, and retail activation.
- Ensure partnership programs contribute to traffic growth and sales uplift.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, Merchandising, VM, Finance, and E-commerce teams for aligned execution.
- Present business performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Team & Culture
- Coach and develop team members in retail marketing and campaign execution.
- Foster a culture of creativity, agility, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (Master's is a plus)
- 10+ years of experience in Retail Marketing, Trade Marketing, or FMCG
- Minimum 5 years in a senior management level
- Proven experience in nationwide campaigns and in-store marketing
- Strong understanding of retail customer behavior and promotions
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial mindset with analytical thinking
- Proficient in Excel and reporting tools
- Native Thai and strong English communication skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and results-driven
