Role Overview
1508 London is a renowned high-end Interior Design firm that operates globally, with studios in London, Sao Paulo, Miami, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Bangkok.
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised HR and Office Manager to join our dynamic team in Bangkok reporting into the Managing Director of APAC. This dual-role position requires a professional who can seamlessly manage HR functions while ensuring the smooth operation of the APAC offices. The ideal candidate will support the HR team in executing policies, recruitment, and employee engagement while maintaining an efficient and welcoming office environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Manager:Reports to Global HR Manager (in London Studio) and Managing Director, APAC
· Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee changes, performance management and offboarding.
· Coordinate recruitment activities, including job descriptions, candidate management, interviews and offers.
· Coordinate visa and Employment Pass applications and ensure compliance with local regulations.
· Support managers with employee relations matters and ensure issues are handled fairly and consistently.
· Act as the first point of contact for employee queries related to HR policies and procedures.
· Facilitate health insurance enrolment and other mandatory benefits.
· Ensure alignment with company policies and local compliance requirements in all relevant regions.
· Support performance review and development processes.
· Maintain and update employee records, ensuring HR information is accurate, confidential and compliant with local labour laws.
· Assist in payroll preparation and ensure accurate tracking of onboarding, offboarding, attendance and leave records.
· Coordinate training and development programs in line with company needs, if and when required.
· Work with external HR, payroll and employment advisers where required.
· Monitor employee engagement, wellbeing and workplace culture.
· Keep up to date with relevant changes in employment legislation and advise management accordingly.
· Support Global HR Manager with HR projects, including but not limited to: integrating new HR system, organising of employee folders, induction process for new joiners, performance review process etc.
Office Manager: Reports to Managing Director, APAC
· Oversee day-to-day office operations, including managing office supplies, equipment and maintenance.
· Ensure offices provide a professional, safe and effective working environment.
· Manage relationships with external suppliers, service providers and professional advisers.
· Ensure the office is well-maintained, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
· Manage correspondence, including emails, letters, and packages.
· Establish and maintain efficient administrative processes across the different offices.
· Coordinate meetings, including booking meeting rooms, preparing agendas, and arranging refreshments.
· Support the team with administrative tasks such as preparing reports, insurance, presentations, and documents.
· Oversee office budgets, expenses and administrative expenditure.
· Coordinate travel, meetings, events and other office-related activities where required.
Skills and Experience
· Proven experience in an HR and administration role, ideally within an international or multi-country environment.
· Strong knowledge of HR processes and employment practices.
· Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior management and local teams.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· High level of discretion and integrity when handling confidential information.
· Proficiency with HRIS Systems, and Microsoft Office, Teams & 365.
· Language skills: Fluent Thai and English, both spoken and written. The role requires regular communication with local and international colleagues, suppliers and service providers.
