Role Purpose

  • Mainly respond for Occupational Health, and Environmental in the HSE management system in order to comply with Syngenta HSE requirements/standards and local HSE legislation.
  • Strive to achieve HSE objectives/KPI as well as align with Site Operational Excellence.
  • Sustain HSE culture with dynamic HSE activities in the site

Accountabilities

  • Ensure HSE procedures of all applicable processes/activities in the site are always updated as Thai Safety & Environment legal, HSE MS COP, Life Saving Rules or SOP of Syngenta Bangpoo site.
  • Up-to-date the legal and other requirement access, conduct compliance assessment and define implementation plan including follow up all actions in HSE Master action tracker.
  • Implement and monitor ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and Process Safety Management System, external award such as Zero accident campaign, Green Industry from DIW, CSR DIW, Environmental Good Governance etc.
  • Be responsible to implement sustainable project and implement Carbon footprint of Organization.
  • Establish, implement and procedure for controlling occupational health of both Syngenta employees and sub-contractors
  • Monitor Solid Waste / Wastewater / air pollution management, to propose and manage improvement projects related to HSE impact
  • Ensure waste management comply with local HSE regulation and Syngenta standard
  • Be responsible in Management of Change Co-ordinator and control PTW and Contractor Management system to ensure its effectiveness and representative in another project
  • Provide/collect data regarding HSE performance to initiate improvement proposal, conduct investigation and Root cause analysis of incident or NC and define CA/PA.
  • Find opportunity for cost saving in order to control expense under budget, control spending cost of HSE budget.
  • Ensure HSE reports in compliance with both local legislation and Syngenta requirement as assigned
  • Update and communicate the SDS to involved parties and Employee, regular communicate the focus and experience of HSE, Ensure Basic of Safety being communicated / visual displayed to associates.
  • Co-ordinate with other section to run HSE program such as health program, HSE day, or other reward and recognition program.
  • Co-ordinate with HSE Manager and element leader to performs HSE site manufacturing audits, external waste vendor audits and third-party manufacturing audits per required standards. Ensures that the audit results are communicated internally to all stakeholders and programs are put in place for corrective action as needed.
  • Provides emergency preparedness standards and participates in any emergency response and recovery efforts as needed
  • Provides direction for industrial hygiene monitoring including chemical and physical agent exposure assessments and corrective actions to assure regulatory compliance and those employees are not exposed to potential adverse health effects in the operations
  • Support HSE Global Audit activities, follow up actions, prepare documents that related to requirements.
  • Monitor all health checkup result and health promotion program management, to propose and manage improvement projects related to HSE impact
  • Ensure all training needs under HSE scope are provided for all positions adequately and completely
  • Assists in the development of HSE strategy and proactively analyzes issues to drive integration of HSE disciplines and solutions Use detailed understanding of facilities, equipment and materials to develop procedures for HSE controls
  • Support all assignments from HSE manager

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

  • At lease Bachelors degree in Occupational health and safety, public health or safety engineer
  • Good command for written and spoken in English
  • An understanding of cultural / national differences as they affect HSE requirements, communications and business practices
  • 10 Years experience in HSE operations with strong HSE background
  • Good problem solving and analysis skill
