VIATAL is a Bangkok-based fractional HR firm. We act as the HR function for SMEs, startups and foreign-owned businesses in Thailand that are not ready for a full in-house HR team.

We are expanding our delivery capacity and looking for an HR Associate to represent VIATAL on the ground with our clients.

You will sit inside our clients offices, see their payroll, their contracts and their people problems. Trust is the core value we demonstrate to every client, and the person in this role carries it on our behalf. We need someone reliable, discreet, and honest about what they do and do not know.

What you will do

Work on site at client offices 1 to 2 days per week as their HR contact point for employees and managers
Complete the remaining work online: HR documentation, contracts, onboarding files, leave and attendance records, data consolidation and analysis
Give clients practical HR guidance when asked, with our team behind you
Report directly to Cho, Founder and CEO, and escalate anything commercial, contentious or legally sensitive rather than deciding it alone
Follow VIATAL's delivery playbook and join a weekly sync with our team

What we are looking for

2 or more years of hands-on HR experience: HR operations, HRBP, payroll, employee relations or HR generalist work
Working knowledge of Thai labour law and the confidence to tell a client when something is not compliant
Strong working English. You will be dealing with foreign owners and managers, and our documentation is in English
Comfortable with Google Workspace and AI tools. This is how we work day to day
Available for fixed weekdays and able to travel to client sites in downtown Bangkok, with occasional trips to greater Bangkok
Able to work independently and ask when unsure
