Position Summary:

  • Provide comprehensive HR support and lead main HR action in Thailand – primarily in Strategic partner & Corporate image, Benefit & Compensation, Legal Responsibility & Employee Relation, and Performance Management by align with Company VMV, strategies and objectives.
  • Work with HR HQ team in Malaysia and senior leadership team in Thailand to optimize headcount and payroll costs.
  • Lead the effective delivery of all HR services to the respective business units in Thailand and to partner with the businesses in all HR areas.
  • Build a solid HR team and processes in Thailand.
  • Lead our recruitment needs with the relevant business / department heads as we start up and grow our retail network in Thailand.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

Provide HR Leadership

  • Support country management to reach sales and profitability together.
  • Assist Country GM and HODs as a HR Business Partner in all related functions in the stores and at Head Office in Thailand.
  • Work closely with the HR HQ team in Malaysia & senior leadership team in Thailand to drive corporate and country HR initiatives.
  • Propose and implement Culture building and fun activities to promote Valiram values and team spirit
  • Responsible for ensuring that time & attendance and HRIQ is used effectively by all staff.
  • To implement standard HR policies across all business units within Thailand while escalating issues and providing key solutions.
  • Perform any other task not specified herewith as required /instructed by superior/management.

Be In Charge Of Talent Acquisition

  • Lead our recruitment needs with the relevant business / department heads as we expand our retail network in Thailand.
  • Find innovative ways to attract and recruit strong candidates.
  • Create and maintain links with target universities.
  • Coordinate the on-boarding programs for new employees.

Optimize Payroll

  • Optimize headcount and payroll costs.
  • Feedback and cooperate with the payroll team in Malaysia on regards to country wages.

Conduct Training Sessions For All Employees

  • Arrange and organize training sessions in order for employees to receive relevant training in a timely manner.

Handle Performance Management Process

  • Manage the Performance appraisal process in Thailand.

Oversee Compensation & Benefits

  • Design & Manage attractive and competitive compensation packages for employees at all levels in Thailand.

Execute Policies Across All Business Units

  • Implement standard HR policies across all business units within Thailand while escalating issues and providing key solutions

Supervise Employee Relations

  • Provide guidance to line management on employee relations issues and disciplinary actions and conduct domestic inquiries, if necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

  • University graduate from HR Management or professional certificate in related discipline.
  • Min 7 years of related experience as HR generalist.
  • Possess and maintain at all times updates and competent HR knowledge and practices while ensuring fairness and an unbiased view of staff developmental areas.
  • Encourage effective communication skills and team spirit between retail staff and management.
  • Build and maintain good rapport with HODs, staff and external vendors.
  • Staff to conduct themselves in a proper and professional manner in compliance with the VG Policies and Procedures.
  • Fluent English and both in written and spoken. Knowledge of other language is added advantage.
