Job Purpose
The Human Resource Manager will manage day-to-day HR operations in our Bangkok office and support the implementation of people strategies and policies. This role serves as the primary HR contact for local employees, ensuring compliance with Thai labor laws, fostering a positive workplace culture, and providing practical HR guidance to employees and leaders.
The role reports to the HR Director with a dotted line to the Head of the Bangkok office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR operations and support the roll-out of HR initiatives.
- Act as the primary contact for employees on HR policies, procedures, and general inquiries.
- Regularly review and update policies, ensuring compliance with Thai labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, and related documentation.
- Coordinate with Payroll/C&B team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Manage all local recruitment activities and ensure smooth onboarding of new joiners.
- Work with respective functional leaders and Finance on Budget, Forecast and Year-end accrual matters.
- Coordinate internal communications and HR-related announcements.
- Lead local annual merit and performance management processes.
- Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and metrics for management and the HR Director.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and help foster a positive workplace culture.
- Supervise the office receptionist and ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, HRCI, CIPD, Thai HR Certification) is a plus.
Experience
- 57 years of progressive or relevant HR experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
- HR generalist or HRBP with hands-on exposure to recruitment, employee relations and HR operations.
Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Thai labor laws, statutory benefits, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with HR best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Awareness of workplace health & safety and employee engagement practices.
Skills
- High level of proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); HRIS or payroll software experience a plus.
- Collaborative mindset with ability to partner effectively with regional HR and local business leaders.
