Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant Manager to join their HR team in Bangkok. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing local labor law compliance, drafting and maintaining local contracts, overseeing expatriate work visa applications, social contribution matters and supporting operational HR functions. The HR Assistant Manager will also focus on employee engagement initiatives and facilitate effective local HR communication. The HR Assistant Manager will also support payroll processing in collaboration with the regional HR team.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operational Functions:
Support HR operations by maintaining current employee databases and ensuring data accuracy.
Assist in the implementation of HR systems and processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Local HR Communication:
Facilitate effective communication between HR and employees to ensure transparency and a positive work environment
Organize and deliver HR communications, updates, and training sessions to enhance employee awareness of HR policies and programs.
Recruitment Management and Workforce Planning and Development:
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding of new hires
Support workforce planning, performance evaluation processes, and employee development strategies.
Policy Localization:
Adapt and localize HR policies from the head office in China to ensure compliance with Thai labor laws and alignment with local organizational culture.
Employee Engagement:
Develop and support initiatives that enhance employee engagement and workplace satisfaction.
Conduct employee engagement surveys and analyze feedback to create actionable improvement plans.
Collaboration with Department Heads:
Collaborate with department heads to define and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals and organizational direction.
Employee Contract Management:
Draft, review, and manage local employment contracts for new hires, ensuring compliance with local legal requirements.
Maintain organized records of all employee contracts and amendments.
Expatriate Visa Applications:
Manage the application process for expatriate work visas and ensure compliance with local immigration regulations.
Liaise with government agencies and legal authorities regarding visa applications, renewals, and work permits.
Payroll Support:
Work closely with the regional Asia Pacific HR team to assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payment for all employees.
Assist in maintaining payroll records, addressing payroll discrepancies, and responding to employee inquiries related to compensation.
Social Contribution Management:
Develop and implement social contribution initiatives that align with the company's values and community needs.
Monitor and manage the organization's social contribution budget and report on the effectiveness of social programs.
HR Administration:
Support the HR team with various administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records and assisting with onboarding processes.
Oversee the administrative matters, includes office management scope
Experience & Qualifications:
Degree holder in Human Resources Management, Business Management or related discipline;
5-6 years of relevant experience, experience in Logistics / Freight Forwarding industry highly preferred;
Strong knowledge of Thai labor laws and regulations.
Experience with expatriate visa processing is a plus.
Solid experience in all rounded HR activity and office administration;
Team player, results-oriented, self-motivated and detail-minded;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to work with all levels;
Good command of written and spoken English;
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
