Information Security Engineer

An international organisation is looking to strengthen its technology security team with an experienced Security Engineer who is interested in working with emerging technologies such as

Cloud, Software and AI Security.

The successful candidate will help technology teams consider security throughout the design and delivery of new solutions. This is a hands-on position with a mixture of engineering, technical assessment and advisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work with technology teams to identify and address security requirements for new initiatives.
• Review proposed solutions and provide practical security recommendations.
• Help design and implement technical security measures across enterprise environments.
• Support the improvement of existing security processes, controls and engineering practices.
• Participate in technical reviews and provide input on security-related design decisions.
• Assist teams with resolving security issues and implementing remediation plans.
• Contribute to internal security standards, guidelines and documentation.
• Support investigations into technical security issues when required.
• Work with colleagues in different technology disciplines to improve the overall security posture.
• Keep up to date with developments in security and emerging technology and assess their potential impact on the organisation.

Experience

We are open to candidates from a range of technical security backgrounds. Relevant experience may include:

• Security engineering
• Artificial Intelligence Security
• Cloud or infrastructure security
• Application security
• Platform security
• DevSecOps
• Technology risk or security architecture

You should have a sound understanding of core information security principles and experience applying them in a practical technology environment.

Experience working with modern enterprise infrastructure, software development or cloud-based solutions would be useful.

An interest in artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies is important. Previous experience securing AI-related solutions is advantageous but is not essential.
