Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provision, configure, maintain, and decommission server infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, security, and operational readiness.
  • Review and implement operating system security baselines and hardening standards to minimize security risks while maintaining system stability.
  • Monitor backup operations, validate backup results, and troubleshoot failed backup jobs to ensure data integrity and recovery readiness.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and recurring technical issues.
  • Support and coordinate system deployment, implementation, migration, and production go-live activities with cross-functional teams.
  • Handle incidents and service requests within agreed SLA requirements and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain infrastructure in accordance with organizational security policies and ISO/IEC 27001 requirements.
  • Support infrastructure modernization and legacy system improvements to enhance system reliability, RTO, RPO, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure processes, automation, monitoring, and system delivery practices.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, procedures, configurations, and operational records.
  • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and participate in technical discussions to translate research, training, and new technologies into practical improvements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and relevant stakeholders to support infrastructure operations and projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in System Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, Server Administration, or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server and/or Linux Server administration, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding of server infrastructure, virtualization, storage, networking, and enterprise IT environments.
  • Knowledge of OS hardening, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and security best practices.
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions, including backup monitoring, troubleshooting, restore testing, and recovery procedures.
  • Good understanding of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, RTO, and RPO concepts.
  • Experience supporting production environments, system deployments, incident management, and service requests.
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC 27001, IT security controls, or IT governance frameworks is preferred.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, or infrastructure automation tools is an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Able to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Good command of English, particularly for reading technical documentation and communicating in an IT working environment.
