Job Description
- Preparing detailed design plans, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings.
- Selecting and specifying materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and other fixtures for the interior spaces.
- Creating sample boards to illustrate the proposed design concept to clients.
- Collaborating with documentation Team to ensure that the design is feasible and meets all requirements.
- Overseeing the construction process and ensuring that the design is implemented as intended and Conducting quality control checks on all aspects of the project, including finishes, furnishings, and installation.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies to ensure that designs are fresh, innovative, and sustainable.
- Technical proficiency is important, but a strong passion for interior design is crucial to succeed in this role.
- Possession of a diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an interior designer and minimum of 5+ years of experience as a senior interior designer, with a specific focus on commercial/workplace interior projects, either in consultancy or design and build.
- Thorough understanding of the design process, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), furniture systems and specifications, and color and materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. EnScape Render engine is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating unique, innovative, and functional design solutions.
