IT Governance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement clear IT governance frameworks and processes for decision-making, risk management, and resource allocation
• Develop and implement IT risk assessment methodologies and reporting procedures
• Regularly review and update IT governance frameworks and processes to ensure they remain relevant and effective
• Communicate IT governance policies and procedures to stakeholders
• Monitor and track compliance with IT governance frameworks
• Develop and optimize the procurement process to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, minimize risks and ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions, including pricing, service levels, and support and build and maintain strong relationships with key vendor contacts
• Monitor vendor performance against agreed-upon service levels and contractual obligations and regularly review vendor performance and provide feedback
• Continuously monitor and analyze industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and threats
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers
• Provide leadership and oversight for major IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities
• Provide guidance and support to business units on IT-related matters, including technology selection, implementation, and usage
• Create opportunities for professional development and training for team members.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant IT regulations, standards, and security policies.
• Establish and maintain strong governance processes for IT decision-making and IT risk management
• Effectively communicate IT plans, strategies, and progress to senior management, business leaders, and other stakeholders
