Junior SAP BASIS Consultant (SAP S/4HANA) - (Fresh Graduate)

Job Summary:

The Junior SAP BASIS Consultant supports the administration and operation of SAP S/4HANA systems. The role focuses on day-to-day system monitoring, user administration, transport management, and project support activities under the guidance of a Senior SAP BASIS Consultant.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP System Administration

Support administration of SAP S/4HANA systems across DEV, QAS, and PRD environments

Perform daily system checks (system availability, background jobs, spool, short dumps)

Assist in basic SAP HANA database monitoring

User & Authorization Support

Create, modify, and delete SAP users (SU01)

Assign roles and reset passwords according to defined procedures

Support authorization issue analysis under senior supervision

Transport Management

Support Transport Management System (STMS) activities

Import transport requests based on project or support schedules

Monitor transport errors and escalate issues when required

System Monitoring & Incident Support

Monitor basic system performance (CPU, memory, disk)

Handle incidents and service requests following SLA and ITSM processes

Coordinate with functional, development, and infrastructure teams

Project & Cutover Support

Support SAP S/4HANA implementation, conversion, and rollout projects

Assist during cutover and go-live activities

Prepare and maintain technical documentation (SOPs, checklists, cutover logs)

Cloud & Tool Exposure (Optional)

Gain exposure to RISE with SAP / cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Use tools such as SAP Cloud ALM or SAP Solution Manager at a basic level

Required Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields

Technical Skills

Basic knowledge of SAP BASIS concepts

Exposure to or knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is preferred

Understanding of clients, instances, transports, and user administration

Basic operating system knowledge (Linux / Windows)

Basic database knowledge (SAP HANA preferred)

Understand Basic concept of backup / recovery

Understand Basic concept of Performance monitoring (CPU, Memory, Disk)

Soft Skills

Willingness to learn and develop SAP technical skills

Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork

Ability to work under pressure during go-live periods

Basic technical communication skills in English

Be able to work after work hour and onsite
