Job Description

Position Summary

This position is part of the Global Material Management team under GSPS Supply Chain & Sourcing.

  • Overall lead and key liaison (internal or external) for all Leather related materials into ECCO Shoe Factories and accountable of the ECCO Leather Portfolio
  • Identify issues and develop solutions to ensure successful, quality, on-time, cost efficient Leather Materials into ECCO Shoes, including leather portfolio management A-Z, data analysis, reporting and S&OP cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leather Portfolio Management
  • Keep the ECCO Leather Portfolio within targets set, whilst offering newness and consistency in all leather materials across the value chain
  • Compile and manage data across Leather Suppliers, Category Management and Product to provide analytical commentary for improvements
  • Be responsible for al Leather Portfolio reporting across the value chain
  • Provide full administration and participation in the Leather Portfolio Committee (LPC) monthly cycl
  • Introduction of New Leathers
  • Work closely with Design, the Leather Group and GDE to understand new leather concepts and bring them to life both technically (with Leather Group and GDE) and commercially (with Tanneries and Production).
  • Understand the movement of new leathers and end-of-life leathers through the value chain to ensure adherence to Leather Portfolio targets
  • Quality, Delivery, Cost
  • Working across the A-Z value chain of ECCO, the following principles will be followed in this order:
  • Quality – ensure through the leather development, shoe range building and bulk production delivery that the Quality of leathers in all aspects meet the pre-defined standards, working closely with all stakeholders across the value chain to ensure discipline towards the Quality principle first and foremost
  • Delivery – ensure on time delivery of all leather materials across the A-Z value chain of ECCO, including concept, development, range building and bulk production, working closely with Leather Group to plan and define priorities, using the LPC forum for structure.
  • Cost – ensure an optimized total cost of ownership (TCO) of the entire leather portfolio across the full value chain – maximizing the financial returns for ECCO Sko A/S.

Education

Key Requirements:

Technical and/or Commercial education (university degree in International Logistics and Supply Chain Management or business administration) or equivalent by experience

Experience

Ideally more than 10 years of experience in material management / project management preferable in an international company, and with Leather products

Required Skills

  • Very good negotiation and communication skills
  • Good analytic and conceptual skills
  • Experience in developing standard procedure / process flow
  • Deciding: Initiating Action to keep targets Coping/Controlling negative emotions: Poise when faced with setback, working with stakeholders across the ECCO A-Z value chain
