Legal Manager
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Contracts and Legal Transactions Manage and oversee the drafting, review, negotiation, and execution of commercial contracts and legal transactions to ensure legal compliance, appropriate risk management, and alignment with business objectives.
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance Monitor and analyze applicable laws, regulations, and requirements issued by relevant regulatory authorities that may impact the Company's business. Provide practical guidance to relevant functions and support the implementation of appropriate compliance measures.
- Legal Advisory Provide practical and timely legal advice to management and internal business functions on business operations, commercial matters, investments, and other legal issues, with a focus on supporting business objectives while appropriately managing legal risks.
- Legal Project Management Manage and coordinate legal workstreams for key corporate and business projects, including corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions, as assigned.
- Legal Process Improvement and Technology Review and improve legal processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, quality, and responsiveness. Identify and apply appropriate technology and digital solutions to streamline legal work, reduce turnaround time, and minimize legal and operational risks.
- Legal Team Development Supervise, coach, and develop members of the Legal team. Promote knowledge sharing, quality standards, and continuous professional development within the team.
- Policy and Internal Guidelines Draft, review, and support the implementation of corporate policies, rules, regulations, and internal guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
- Other Assigned Responsibilities Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management in support of the Company's business and strategic objectives.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law. A Master's degree in Business Law, Commercial Law, or an LL.M. will be an advantage.
- At least **8 years of relevant legal experience** in a large organization or leading law firm. Experience in an in-house legal function and/or the retail or real estate industry is preferred. Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role will be an advantage.
- Strong experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and business agreements, including complex contracts, in both Thai and English.
- Good knowledge and practical experience in civil and commercial law, corporate law, competition law, the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and other laws and regulations relevant to the Company's business.
- Ability to understand business needs and provide practical, commercially minded legal advice while appropriately identifying and managing legal risks.
- Good understanding of and willingness to leverage technology and digital solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legal work.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to supervise, coach, and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders across different functions.
- Strong ability to manage multiple matters and priorities simultaneously, with excellent attention to detail, organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
