Job Description
Oversee full-spectrum accounting and finance operations for the Thai shipping agency branch.
Manage freight billing, Disbursement Accounts (D/A), freight collections, and remitting funds to the HQ in Korea.
Ensure full compliance with Thai tax regulations (VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax) and Bank of Thailand (BOT) foreign exchange regulations.
Perform monthly/quarterly/annual financial closing and prepare reports for management and HQ.
Liaise with external legal auditors, tax authorities, banks, and government agencies.
Supervise and guide junior accounting/billing staff.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 23 years in managerial roles within the Shipping Line, Shipping Agency, or Freight Forwarding industry.
CPD (Continuing Professional Development) License is strictly required (CPA is a strong plus).
Strong knowledge of Thai tax laws, Revenue Code, and international trade accounting standards.
Good command of spoken and written English for HQ reporting and internal communication.
Proficient in accounting software/ERP (e.g., SAP, Express, or Shipping-specific ERPs).
