About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager / Senior Manager, Master Production Schedule (MPS) to lead and optimize the end-to-end production planning process. This role is responsible for developing and managing the Master Production Plan to balance customer demand, production capacity, inventory levels, and business objectives while ensuring operational efficiency and service excellence.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Procurement, Commercial, and Finance teams to support sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Master Production Planning & Demand Management
- Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to align demand forecasts, production capacity, inventory targets, and business objectives.
- Analyze sales forecasts, demand trends, and capacity utilization to support effective planning and decision-making.
- Monitor demand-supply balance and adjust production plans to address changing business conditions and operational constraints.
- Lead scenario planning and evaluate alternatives to optimize service levels, inventory investment, and operational performance.
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Lead the monthly S&OP process and facilitate cross-functional alignment among Commercial, Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams.
- Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) initiatives and long-term capacity planning strategies.
- Prepare planning assumptions, forecasts, and recommendations for management review and business decision-making.
Inventory & Capacity Management
- Optimize inventory levels to ensure material availability while minimizing excess stock and working capital.
- Monitor inventory health, stock coverage, and capacity utilization to identify improvement opportunities.
- Identify and mitigate demand, supply, inventory, and capacity risks through proactive planning and corrective actions.
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
- Establish, track, and analyze planning KPIs including forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, service level, production plan adherence, and capacity utilization.
- Drive planning improvements through data analysis, root cause investigation, and process optimization.
- Lead planning transformation, digitalization, and process excellence initiatives to enhance planning effectiveness and business responsiveness.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
- Partner closely with Operations, Commercial, Procurement, Finance, and Warehouse teams to achieve business objectives.
- Prepare business reviews and management reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Coach and develop planning team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Master Production Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning, Demand Planning, or related functions within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in data analysis, planning tools, and management reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly accountable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Adaptable and capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Food Manufacturing, Seafood, Frozen Food, FMCG, or Consumer Goods industries.
- Strong understanding of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, SAP IBP, Oracle, or equivalent planning platforms.
- Knowledge of Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, and Cost Analysis.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience driving planning transformation or digitalization projects is a plus.
