We're looking for an experienced Quality Engineering Lead – Cloud Platform to define and drive the quality engineering strategy for a large-scale cloud platform.

Location: Bangalore - Hybrid – only 2 weeks per quarter in the office

Experience: 12 – 15 years

What You'll Do

• Define and drive the Quality Engineering strategy, standards, and test policies across platform and product teams.
• Establish common test automation frameworks, harnesses, tooling, and test data capabilities.
• Drive API, integration, compatibility, performance, reliability, and cross-product testing.
• Define quality metrics, dashboards, environment promotion gates, and release-readiness criteria.
• Own release management and governance, including risks, dependencies, and exceptions across teams.
• Use production incidents, customer issues, metrics, and retrospectives to continuously improve quality.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Security, and Operations to drive consistent quality practices.

What We're Looking For

• 12+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, SDET, Software Engineering, Test Automation, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience defining and driving QE strategy across multiple engineering teams/products.
• Strong hands-on experience with API and test automation, using Playwright or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience with performance, scalability, and reliability testing using JMeter, Gatling, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
• Strong experience with quality metrics, automation frameworks, release-readiness criteria, quality gates, and release processes.

Good to Have

• Experience with large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS platforms on AWS.
• Experience with resilience testing / chaos engineering for distributed systems.
• Experience leading complex releases across multiple products and engineering teams.
• Experience leading or mentoring Quality Engineers and SDETs.
• Exposure to regulated or compliance-sensitive environments.
