Manufacturing Engineer (Bang Pa-In, Ayutthaya)

Position: Manufacturing Engineer

Work Period: 2 years contract renewable

Location: Bang Pa-In, Ayutthaya

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary liaison between the company and contract manufacturing partner for all engineering or technical issues.
• Provide on-site, first-level engineering support to contract manufacturing operations, troubleshooting process, equipment, tooling and product issues in real time.
• Support new product introductions and transfers for HDR products, including documentation review, capability assessments and process/equipment qualifications.
• Support capacity reviews of the company equipment located at contract manufacturing to ensure readiness to support future product/program ramps.
• Ensure adherence to the company control plans and standards, coordinating approval and implementation of process changes between the company and contract manufacturer.
• Review and analyze process and yield data, identify trends or drifts, and initiate corrective actions in collaboration with the contract manufacturing when needed.
• Develop and standardize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and process windows to improve quality, yield, and reliability.
• Lead and support process improvement activities using data analysis, DOE, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Support equipment installation, upgrades, preventive maintenance, and asset management in collaboration with contract manufacturer and the company teams.
• Summarize recurring production issues and collaborate with contract manufacturing on improvement opportunities, communicating effectively in weekly and quarterly reviews.
• Ensure continuity between sustaining engineering projects and high‑volume production.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with contract manufacturing engineering, operations, quality and maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of manufacturing issues and effective implementation of the company requirements.
• Ensure contract manufacturing is adequately supporting on-site visits from the company personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of related experience in manufacturing and process engineering within a high‑volume production environment.
• Working knowledge of process development, equipment qualification, and product transfers.
• Experience with tooling and equipment design, preferably using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with experience applying data analysis, DOE, and root cause methodologies.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, engineering, suppliers, and contract manufacturing partners.
• Effective communication skills and ability to provide technical guidance on the factory floor.
• Ability to work independently at a contract manufacturing site and effectively coordinate activities between the contract manufacturing and the company engineering teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required to support the company manufacturing activities and product/equipment transfers.
• Willing to travel to Penang plant or other locations required.
• Good command of English
