Mechanical and Electrical Engineer

K Agro-Innovate Institute (KAI), under the KASIKORNTHAI Foundation, in collaboration with Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (Nan Campus), is developing the Pharma-Agroforestry District (PAD)—an initiative aimed at uplifting local livelihoods through value-added forest products, medicinal plants, and community-based agro-processing. Our mission is to promote standardized production, quality control, and research-driven development to strengthen community economies sustainably.

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic professional to join our team in the role of Mechanical and Electrical Engineer. The Mechanical & Electrical Engineer will support the Pharma-Agroforestry District (PAD) by designing, installing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and utility systems used in production and R&D operations. This role ensures equipment reliability, safety compliance, and alignment with GMP, GAP, GACP, and ISO standards. The engineer will troubleshoot system failures, perform preventive maintenance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, product quality, and operational safety within the PAD facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, and improve mechanical, electrical, and utility systems for production and R&D operations.
• Diagnose and resolve machinery and equipment issues; perform preventive maintenance (PM) to reduce downtime.
• Inspect and monitor safety compliance in production and utility areas.
• Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and equipment-related failures.
• Collaborate with Production, QA/QC, and R&D teams to ensure compliance with GMP, GAP, GACP, and ISO standards.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, equipment logs, and quality-related records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, safety, and product quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical & electrical engineering or manufacturing (food, herbal, pharmaceutical, or agricultural industries).
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with system installation, commissioning, or factory engineering (preferred).
• Strong skills in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Understanding of GMP, GAP, GACP, and ISO standards is an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Good problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Able to work full time in Nan Province.
