Job Description: Network Engineer

2. Job Summary
The Network Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT systems, including service desk operations, IT infrastructure, data security, and IT asset management. This role ensures system reliability, performance, and security to support business operations effectively.
3. Key Responsibilities
3.1 Service Desk Management
- Monitor and track system performance, including incident logging
- Receive and troubleshoot user issues, identify root causes, and resolve problems
- Handle service requests such as data retrieval and video review
- Deactivate system access for resigned employees
- Manage user accounts and access permissions
3.2 Infrastructure Management
- Install, configure, and optimize network systems
- Set up and maintain servers, including performance monitoring
- Configure end-user devices such as computers and office equipment
- Maintain and monitor server room conditions and operations
3.3 Security Management
- Perform data encryption and decryption as required
- Plan and execute regular data backup processes
3.4 IT Asset Management
- Propose IT equipment procurement plans
- Inspect and record IT assets upon receipt
- Manage IT asset issuance and returns
- Track and update asset status
- Evaluate and manage asset disposal
- Maintain contracts related to IT assets
3.5 Other Duties
- Perform other tasks as assigned
4. Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in Network or IT Infrastructure
Skills & Knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT tools
- Strong knowledge of network systems, servers, and IT infrastructure
- Understanding of IT processes such as incident and problem management
Certifications
- Cisco certifications or other relevant certifications are an advantage
