The Network Security Engineer is responsible for managing firewall infrastructure, implementing security controls, and ensuring secure, reliable network operations. The role involves handling firewall requests, monitoring threats, performing upgrades, and collaborating with internal and external teams to maintain security standards.

• Manage and support firewall devices across on-premise and cloud environments, including configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Handle firewall policy requests by analyzing business and technical requirements and implementing appropriate changes.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure timely completion of requests within defined SLAs.
• Monitor security advisories and threat updates; perform impact analysis and plan necessary remediation or upgrades.
• Execute firmware upgrades and security hardening activities with minimal or no downtime.
• Support troubleshooting, incident investigation, and resolution related to firewall and network security issues.
• Ensure proper communication with stakeholders for planned changes, incidents, or downtime requirements.
• Track and report operational metrics, including request handling, incidents, and ongoing tasks.
• Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to security policies and best practices.

• Strong hands-on experience with firewall technologies (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, cloud firewalls, WAF).
• Knowledge of network security concepts, firewall policies, and access control mechanisms.
• Experience with cloud platforms and multi-environment infrastructure.
• Familiarity with incident management and incident response processes.
• Understanding of security tools such as Vulnerability Assessment (VA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Network Access Control (NAC) is an advantage.
• Ability to analyze security threats and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in network/security engineering with a focus on firewall management.
• Experience working in structured environments with defined processes and SLAs.
