Offshore Structural Supervisor

CCL Global is seeking for an Offshore Structural Supervisor for a one year contract based in Thailand / Myanmar or a rotational role

We are looking for a Structural Supervisor with hands-on offshore installation experience specifically on existing platforms

Personal Attributes, Education & Qualifications

Key responsibilities include installing Risers and J-tubes, supporting Umbilical Pulling, and carrying out structural reinforcement/modification work on-site.

• A degree in a relevant engineering or technology discipline i.e., MSc, BEng, BSc (Hons) or similar. Professional Engineer Chartered status registered with recognised National institute is advantageous.
• Experience and knowledge associated with structural engineering design, onshore fabrication, offshore installation, brownfield construction, hook-up and commissioning of offshore project
• Extensive experience in managing and supervising structural works during offshore brownfield construction and HUC execution.
• Proven offshore HUC site experience with responsibility for structural work planning, coordination, supervision and progress control.
• Experience in supporting HUC teams during the preparation and execution of offshore brownfield structural works
• Familiar with all international standards and Codes of Practice.
• Be able to work independently with little supervision but strong sense of responsibility
• A good command of English both verbal and written.
• A good command of verbal Mandarin with reading being an advantage.

Position Recommended Qualifications, Experience & Skills;

• Minimum 15 years of work experience of which at least 10 years in oil and gas. Experience in a similar role with an Oil and gas Operator is preferred.
• Experience in managing structural construction and hook-up works for large offshore EPCIC and brownfield projects.
• Extensive experience in the preparation, review, coordination and implementation of brownfield structural work pack.
• Demonstrated capability to manage contractors and supervise daily structural work activities at fabrication yards, construction sites and offshore facilities.
• Practical knowledge of offshore structural construction methods, temporary works, access arrangements, lifting activities and work-front preparation.
• Experience in work sequencing, manpower and resource coordination, progress monitoring and recovery planning for offshore structural works.
• Experience in managing interfaces between brownfield structural modifications and offshore transportation and installation activities.
• Ability to resolve field issues and coordinate effectively with HUC, T&I, Operations, Engineering, Quality and HSE teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally and relocate to work sites, including offshore facilities.
• Working experience in Southeast Asia is an advantage.

Position Role and Responsibilities

• Act as the Company's HUC Structure Supervisor responsible for the planning, coordination, management and supervision of brownfield structural works and related Brownfield–T&I interfaces.
• Manage structural work activities at fabrication yards, construction sites and offshore facilities, ensuring safe, timely and efficient execution in accordance with the approved schedule and project requirements.
• Lead and support the preparation, review, coordination and management of structural and brownfield construction Work Packs.
• Ensure that Work Packs include all required drawings, calculations, procedures, Task Sheets, material information, inspection requirements, lifting arrangements and access provisions.
• Plan and coordinate structural work fronts, priorities, manpower, materials, equipment, access and prerequisite activities with the Contractor and relevant project teams.
• Monitor Work Pack preparation and approval status, identify constraints and delays, establish priorities and implement recovery or catch-up measures.
• Ensure that Work Packs are aligned with the latest approved engineering documents, verified site conditions, material availability, construction methodology and offshore execution sequence.
• Support constructability reviews, site surveys and field verification, and confirm structural work-front readiness before work commencement.
• Directly supervise and monitor daily structural construction and hook-up activities, ensuring compliance with approved Work Packs, drawings, procedures, quality requirements and HSE controls.
• Monitor work progress, productivity and schedule performance; identify emerging issues and coordinate timely corrective actions with the Contractor and HUC management.
• Review and coordinate the resolution of site queries, field changes, clashes and structural issues arising during fabrication, construction and offshore hook-up.
• Coordinate with the responsible Structural Design Engineer where detailed-design clarification, technical assessment or design modification is required.
• Manage Brownfield–T&I interfaces, including platform preparation, temporary structures, lifting arrangements, access requirements, installation aids and activity sequencing.
• Coordinate with HUC, T&I, Construction, Operations, Engineering, Quality and HSE teams to resolve scope gaps, interface issues, work-front constraints and SIMOPS requirements.
• Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, work readiness reviews, toolbox meetings and inspections, and ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, standards and Myanmar regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and provide timely progress, constraint, technical and site execution reports to the relevant managers.
• Undertake international travel and offshore assignments as required to manage fabrication, brownfield construction, offshore installation and hook-up activities.
