Job Description

Purpose

To manage the day-to-day operations for Destination Asia in Southern Thailand of all inbound travel business and deliver service excellence at every customer touch point and help build a high-performance team

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across Southern Thailand (Phuket, Khao Lak, Krabi, Samui), ensuring efficient service delivery and operational compliance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop operational teams, freelance staff, tour guides, and hotel representatives, fostering performance and future leadership growth.
  • Drive destination profitability by increasing sales opportunities, controlling costs, and managing customer service inquiries and key business portals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional partners, transportation providers, and excursion suppliers, ensuring service quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support recruitment, company projects, cruise operations, and emergency response activities while implementing continuous process improvements and performance standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in tourism, travel, hospitality, or related field of study preferred
  • Previous experience in travel operations with a minimum 3 years of experience in Inbound DMC/Tour Operations or related tourism field preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Southern Thailand key tourist destinations

  • Leadership and management skills (including distance management) and the ability to motivate staff
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build supplier relationships
  • Ability to communicate credibly and effectively with people at all levels of an organization
  • Organized with a positive attitude, hardworking, professional with a sense of humour and enjoys working in a team environment.
  • Strong working command of written and spoken English (other languages are an advantage).
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, ability to work under pressure including emergency situations and to prioritize tasks.
  • Good computer proficiency (MS Office; Travel related software such as Travel Studio)
  • Be able to work flexible working hours (including some weekends).
  • Focused on a high degree of customer care and service.
