Partner/ Associate Partner Accounting Advisory

Our client is a leading global professional services firm investing in its accounting advisory practice in Thailand. They are appointing a Partner or Associate Partner to lead engagements, own client relationships and build the practice across Thailand and the wider Southeast Asia region.

This is a market-facing leadership seat. Technical depth is assumed. What sets the right person apart is the ability to originate work, shape the go-to-market and grow a team around it.

The role

• Drive practice growth through your own client relationships, go-to-market planning and business development
• Lead and deliver engagements across:
• Accounting & Reporting (complex accounting, new standards, TFRS/IFRS)
• Finance Transformation (operating model, process, close and reporting; not ERP implementation)
• IPO Readiness
• Post-Merger Integration
• Finance Centre of Excellence design
• CFO Advisory
• Act as trusted advisor to CFOs, boards and audit committees, bringing practical answers rather than technical memos
• Own quality and outcomes on your engagements, and challenge how things are done where there is a better way
• Work across service lines and with regional colleagues on cross-border opportunities in Southeast Asia
• Coach and develop directors, managers and the next generation of leaders
• Stay ahead of regulatory, reporting and market change, and turn it into propositions clients will buy

About you

• Currently a Partner at a Big 4 firm, ideally with 2–7 years in the partnership. Associate Partners and Directors with a demonstrable book and a clear partner case will also be considered
• Background in accounting advisory: FAAS, CMAAS, Accounting Advisory Services, or the equivalent team at your firm
• A record of originating and converting work, not only delivering it
• Senior relationships with Thai listed companies, multinationals, or PE-backed and pre-IPO businesses
• Finance transformation experience on the advisory side (process, operating model, reporting). SAP or Oracle implementation backgrounds are not what this role needs
• Credibility with regulators, boards and C-suite, and the judgement to match
