Due to business expansion, we are actively seeking a Permit Manager for the Solar Utility to be based in Bangkok, Thailand. This role reports to the O&M Associate Director, Thailand.
Job Purpose:
As the Permit Manager, TH, you will play a key role in government liaison, permit management, internal coordination, documentation management and overall supporting task for solar assets in Thailand.
Permit Manager is responsible for ensuring all solar assets in construction and operation maintain full regulatory compliance through effective permit management, government liaison, stakeholder coordination, and administrative governance. The role serves as the key interface between the company and external authorities while supporting operational and management requirements to ensure business continuity and compliance.Being centrally based in Bangkok.
Role & Responsibilities
- Management of department documents such as ISO, permits, correspondence letter with government departments, etc.
- Coordinating with internal teams and all relevant external parties e.g., ERC, DIW, PEA, MEA, EGAT, IEAT, government, project sponsor/ shareholder, industrial estate, contracts, lenders advisor and contractor
- Leading and managing the store and stock control of operating asset's spare parts
- Preparing presentation / boarding agenda for management
- Drafting formal letter in both Thai and English
- Manage operating asset expenses and cost tracking
Ideal candidate should possess:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Science, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of experience in permit management, regulatory compliance, or government liaison activities, preferably within the power generation or renewable energy,
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, licensing processes, and compliance obligations relevant to power plant operations.
- Experience coordinating with government authorities and key stakeholders such as ERC, PEA, DIW, and local regulatory agencies.
- Experience in renewable energy projects would be an advantage
- Interpersonal relationship skills, ability to communicate with people of different cultures and backgrounds
- Organizational and time management skills
- Negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to travel/ work upcountry in case by case to follow-up assignment
- Fluent in English both written and verbal (Minimum 750 TOEIC score as advantage)
