Plant Manager (Pharma)

Our client is a leading multinational healthcare manufacturer seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead its manufacturing operation in Thailand.

This is a senior site-leadership position with full responsibility for plant performance, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, people development and financial results. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the organization, improving operational performance and preparing the site for future capacity expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the manufacturing site.
• Take ownership of the plant's P&L, operating budget, productivity and cost-performance targets.
• Lead the production, engineering, supply chain, logistics and operational-excellence functions.
• Partner closely with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, HR and regional leadership.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable GMP, FDA, ISO and corporate quality requirements.
• Maintain high standards of EHS, product quality, delivery performance and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and execute the site's operational strategy in alignment with regional and global objectives.
• Drive continuous-improvement, Lean manufacturing, automation and productivity initiatives.
• Improve manufacturing capacity, labour utilization, equipment performance and overall operational efficiency.
• Lead organizational development, succession planning and capability building across the site.
• Build a strong performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and employee engagement.
• Oversee future expansion, capacity increases, new production lines and shift-model development.
• Act as the primary site representative when engaging with regional leadership and other internal and external stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, Operations Management or a related discipline.
• Substantial leadership experience within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience as a Plant Manager, Site Director, Operations Director, General Manager or in a comparable senior manufacturing-leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA requirements, quality systems and relevant ISO standards.
• Demonstrated ownership of plant P&L, budgeting, cost management and operational performance.
• Experience leading a multifunctional manufacturing organization with responsibility for a sizeable workforce.
• Strong track record in operational improvement, productivity enhancement, capacity expansion or manufacturing transformation.
• Experience managing organizational change and developing leadership capability.
• Commercially minded, hands-on and comfortable operating within a complex multinational matrix organization.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Fluent English communication is required.

Preferred Experience

• Medical-device or pharmaceutical or F&B manufacturing
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and ISO 14644.
• Experience expanding production capacity, introducing new manufacturing lines
• Experience working with regional and global stakeholders in a multinational organization.
